So as I sit here waiting for Jason and Preston to wake up, I am completing my last and final assignment for LVN school. Tomorrow I take my last and final test for LVN school. This week is actually our "last week" of real classes. Next week starts all day NCLEX reviews, and preparing for the "pinning ceremony."
Wow, that paragraph gives me chills. This year has just flown by, I remember thinking it never would, and here we are. Jason and I have been through so many ups and downs this last year, we've had our own issues, Ive been sick, Prestons been sick, Jasons been sick, we've had things go wrong with our house, and jobs, but through it all we've pushed on. It amazes me that we are already here. I cant believe it. Its such a blessing to think in just a few short weeks I will be functioning as an LVN. I look back at pictures from when I first started school, and now of Preston, and he's not a baby anymore.
He comes walking out of the bedroom saying, "Mooommmmmaaaaa!!!" Searching for hugs and good morning kisses, a "ippy up" filled with his good morning milk, and "icky ouse?, hot dog?" for his good morning mickey mouse shows. When just one year ago I was waking up breast feeding a new infant. I remember thinking I was never going to get through this year.
A few months ago when the school brought up plans for pinning, I remember telling my Mom how I didn't want to make it a big deal. Now all of a sudden it is. Not just a big deal, but a huge deal! It is such an accomplishment to be where we are at. I started school last August, I didn't realize that this year really was something people were encouraging me not to take on. They told me, "your too weak", "you can't do it", "your body is still recovering Amy." My hard headed self took on the challenge. I succeeded. July of last year I was in the ICU on deaths row, August I was starting school, and now? Im an LVN. Nothing will stop me. I have a passion for the medical field, and a passion for my family, and nothing is going to stop me from giving them everything I can. Doesn't matter how hard I have to push myself. This is a marker for me now, not just some dumb LVN pinning ceremony. Its one step closer to my ultimate goals. I am proud now, and its so incredibly humbling.
Just 2 weeks before school was to start:
Just a few short weeks ago:
Wow, so your telling me I have worked, raised a child, kept up with a household, helped blossom a marriage, and kept my sanity, all while going to school full time for the last year? What an accomplishment. I have become incredibly proud of myself this past week.

Here We Go!
Here it is! Its up, and updated at that!
The Tschirhart Fam(ily) has decided to keep up with everyone we would start a blog, therefore if you are interested in keeping up with the daily lives, you are more than welcome to visit this blog, and we will be here.
Things have been quite crazy around here. Amy is quite close to graduating from LVN school. The date is August 8th. She will then be done with this Monday-Friday school schedule. Jason and Amy are both working EMS with Community EMS and working 48 hours on and 72 hours off. We both are working together, on the same shift, so that when we are off we can have time as a family. That is... until Amy has to go to school in the afternoon. She right now, is going to school Monday through Friday from around 3PM to about 9PM-11PM. We all live pretty crazy lives. If were not at work were trying to keep up with our ever growing 19 month old. We can't believe how quickly Preston is growing. His vocabulary just amazes us everyday. The things he does and learns are just unbelievable. I don't know what were going to do with him, do they start preschool at 2? We are constantly wondering what it is we can do next to help his little mind grow.
He now knows how to count to 3, knows, "A, B, C" he knows how to take things to his room, throw things in the trash, and in the sink, asks for foods and beverages, he loves "ukers" (suckers), loves to be outside, loves water, and just loves attention. He just cracks us up everyday. This week I got the brilliant idea to do arts and crafts with him, and he just loved being able to paint.
As you can tell he had a blast! Got a little in his mouth, but of course it was mommy to the rescue!
We love him to pieces, and can not believe that he is going on 2. We have a big birthday to plan this year! It amazes me how much he's grown since he was born, pulling up this blog, obviously the last thing I posted was when he decided to come early. I was in shock! Things have been so busy this last year, I feel like I've missed so much with him, but I know that it will all be worth it in the end.
Keep up with the Tschirhart's we will be blogging again soon!
